The movie is a dark, contemporary take on the tall tale of Paul Bunyan. Kids at a first- time offenders' boot camp discover that the legend of Paul Bunyan is real, but is much more horrifying than they could have imagined. The movie stars genre vet Joe Estevez, Tom Downey (JOLLY ROGER: MASSACRE AT CUTTER’S COVE, TRANSMORPHERS), and Tim Lovelace (MOSQUITO). Newcomers Jesse Kove, Amber Connor, Cliff Williams, Victoria Ramos, Kristina Kopf, and Jill Evyn round out the cast.
Jones directed BOOGEYMAN 3 for Ghost House. Prior to BUNYAN, he directed several other “big” creature movies, including MOSQUITO, SPIDERS, and CROCODILE 2. The script was written by Miller and Jones, who wrote JOLLY ROGER together, along with newcomer Jason Ancona.

BIOGRAPHIES
GARY JONES http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0428109/
Gary Jones has over 25 years of experience in the motion picture business. As an effects artist, Gary worked for such directors as Sam Raimi on EVIL DEAD 2 and John Woo on HARD TARGET. The first feature Gary directed, MOSQUITO, was released by Hemdale (THE TERMINATOR, PLATOON). After the success of MOSQUITO, Sam Raimi hired Gary to direct episodes of the popular shows “XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS” and “HERCULES: THE LEGENDARY JOURNEYS.”
Gary has directed episodes of Disney’s “HONEY, I SHRUNK THE KIDS” and Columbia/Tri-Star’s “SHEENA.” Gary’s second feature film was SPIDERS, a throwback to ‘50s giant bug movies. It was released by Trimark/Lions Gate in 2000 and quickly became the most successful of their new “creature features” series. Gary followed up SPIDERS with CROCODILE 2: DEATH SWAMP, which was released by Lions Gate in 2002.
In Los Angeles in 2004, Gary directed JOLLY ROGER: MASSACRE AT CUTTER’S COVE, the first film with Kinetic Filmworks partner Jeff Miller. Gary traveled to Romania in 2005 to direct PLANET RAPTOR (starring Steven Bauer and Vanessa Angel) and XENOPHOBIA (starring C. Thomas Howell and Ron Silver). In 2006 Gary produced THE RAGE, directed by Robert Kurtzman, creator of FROM DUSK TILL DAWN. In 2007 Gary returned to Romania to direct the SyFy Channel Original GHOULS.
Gary then directed BOOGEYMAN 3, a sequel to the theatrical horror hit, for Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures/Sony. When it premiered on dvd in early 2009, it was #2 for three straight weeks in rentals for direct-to-video movies. Gary recently directed the SyFy Channel original LIGHTNING STRIKES, starring Kevin Sorbo (“Hercules”), as well as BALLISTICA, an action feature. To date, Gary has directed eleven feature films and over twenty-five hours of television. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America and on the approved list of directors for the SyFy Channel.
JEFF MILLER http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0588577/
Jeff Miller has been writing screenplays for over 20 years and producing for almost as long. He graduated with a Bachelor of Media Arts degree from the University of South Carolina. The first feature that Jeff co-produced, FREAKSHOW, starring Gunnar Hansen (“Leatherface” from THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE) and Hammer Studios scream queen Veronica Carlson, was released internationally on home video in 1995 and won third place for Best U.S. Independent Film at the Fantafestival in Rome, Italy, Europe’s largest sci-fi/horror festival.
After the success of FREAKSHOW, Jeff was asked to co-write and produce HELLBLOCK 13, which again starred Gunnar Hansen, in addition to scream queens Debbie Rochon (TROMEO & JULIET) and J.J. North (ATTACK OF THE 60 FT. CENTERFOLD). HELLBLOCK 13 was released by Troma in 2000. Miller then decided to write, produce, and make his directorial debut with HEAD CHEERLEADER, DEAD CHEERLEADER, also starring Debbie Rochon, which sold in the U.S. as well as to many foreign countries. In 2001 Jeff moved from South Carolina to Los Angeles and worked in marketing and development for several entertainment companies.
In 2004 Jeff created and wrote with Gary Jones the screenplay for JOLLY ROGER: MASSACRE AT CUTTER’S COVE. Jeff also directed second unit on the film, which was released in 2005 and premiered on the SyFy Channel in 2006. It has also played on the Chiller Network. Jeff recently helped produce and production coordinate the action feature BALLISTICA, starring Martin Kove (THE KARATE KID) and Robert Davi (LICENCE TO KILL, DIE HARD), which Gary Jones directed.
Jeff came up with the idea for BUNYAN while sitting in a coffee shop.
